Charmaine Crouse Yoest, Ph.D., is the Project Director of The Family, Gender and Tenure Project in the Department of Politics at the University of Virginia. She is an author, columnist and frequent commentator on cable and network outlets. She has provided Congressional testimony on women's issues, had an office in the (real) West Wing of the White House, and has served on a number of Boards and Commissions. Charmaine has completed graduate work at Oxford, competes in 26.2 mile marathons and appeared in a made-for-TV movie. She married in 1990. She is the mother of five children.
